UMI MajuLab renewal signature

MajuLab went on its first evaluation on October 21st 2017 where all the supervisory authorities came to Singapore in order to evaluate MajuLab’s acheivements for the past 4 years.

The evaluation went well since the lab activities has been renewed for 5 more years, running from 2018 to 2023.

Mrs Frédérique Vidal, French Minister of Research, Innovation and Higher Education came to Singapore on January 22nd & 23rd 2018, and MajuLab took advantage of her two-days State visit to officially sign the new agreement.

The renewal has been signed twice, first @NTU and then @NUS:

Accompanied by a delegation of twenty people, including Antoine Petit (President of the CNRS), Yves Levy (INSERM President), Thierry Damerval (ANR President), Vincent Bergé (Director of Fundamental Research CEA), the Minister has moved to all Singapore research strategic points.

The minister’s visit was motivated by a major event for the Franco-Singaporean diplomatic scene : the official launch of the 2018 France-Singapore Innovation Year. The CNRS was at the heart of the event specially with the renewal of MajuLab, ready for 5 new years of research in Singapore.
